Flyball Hub referral rewards are live

Flyball Hub referral rewards are now live for eligible Premium teams. If your team has the Referrals tab in Settings, you can share your code or link with another team before they upgrade.

The offer is simple: the team using your code gets their first month of Premium free. Your team earns 20% off for each active qualified referral, up to five active referrals. Five active qualified teams can cover your Premium subscription completely while they remain active.

I like this because it fits how flyball already works. Teams talk. Captains recommend tools to other captains. New teams ask what people are using to manage training, dogs, events and stats. A referral programme should support that normal club-to-club sharing, not turn everyone into a salesperson.

• Go to Settings, then Referrals.

• Share it with another team before they upgrade.

Rewards are based on active qualified referrals, not empty signups. The invited team needs to use your code, start Premium and stay active long enough to count.

That last bit matters. I would rather reward real team adoption than hand out credit for accounts that never get used.

why referrals make sense for Flyball Hub

Flyball Hub is useful when teams actually use it together. One captain can set up a team, but the value grows when dogs, handlers, training sessions, competitions and results all live in the same place.

That makes referrals a natural fit. If another team joins because your team recommended it, they are not just clicking a random advert. They are hearing from someone who understands the weekly admin pain: who is training, which dogs are running, what needs to be printed, what changed before race day, and where the latest notes are hiding.

Those recommendations are worth more than generic marketing. They also help keep Flyball Hub growing in the right direction, through teams that are likely to understand the sport and use the app properly.

how the reward works

Each active qualified referral gives your team 20% off Premium. The reward stacks up to five active qualified teams.

So it looks like this:

• 1 active qualified referral: 20% off
• 2 active qualified referrals: 40% off
• 3 active qualified referrals: 60% off
• 4 active qualified referrals: 80% off
• 5 active qualified referrals: Premium covered while those referrals stay active

The discount is tied to active referrals. If a referred team stops counting later, your reward can change at the next billing point. That keeps it fair: your team gets credit while Flyball Hub is gaining active Premium teams because of your recommendation.

For the launch, referral rewards are shown inside the app for eligible Premium teams. The safest rule is this: if your team can see Settings > Referrals, use the details shown there. The app will show your code, share link, current qualified referrals and progress toward the free reward.

what the invited team gets

The invited team gets a free first month of Premium when they use a valid referral code before upgrading.

That gives them time to try the paid tools properly. Premium is where the stronger captain features live, including public event hosting, video timing, advanced dog stats, repeated schedules, event comments, ad-free team workspace and other team management extras.

If they decide Flyball Hub is not for them, that is fine. The referral should only count when the team becomes an active qualified Premium team. No pressure, no weird loopholes, no reward for creating a dead account.

where to find your referral code

Your referral code lives in the app:

Settings > Referrals

From there, eligible teams can copy the code or share the referral link. Another team can use that link directly, or enter the code before they upgrade.

The Referrals area also shows your progress. You can see how many teams are pending, which referrals have qualified, and what discount is currently active.

That should make it easier to share without keeping your own spreadsheet of who joined, who upgraded and who still needs to qualify. Nobody needs another spreadsheet.

a few fair rules

Referral rewards only work if the rules stay boring and fair.

No self-referrals. One reward per referred team. Rewards are for real teams that use the app and become active Premium customers. If a referred team cancels before it qualifies, it should not count. If a team stops being active later, it should stop contributing to the reward.

I know rules are not the exciting part, but they protect the programme from getting messy. The aim is to help real flyball teams discover Flyball Hub, not create a game where people chase codes.

why this helps the wider flyball community

More teams using Flyball Hub means more shared momentum around the app. That helps fund the boring bits that matter: reliability, mobile polish, app store work, event tools, statistics, support, and the steady improvements that make the app easier to trust week after week.

It also means the team finder, public event tools and future community features have a better chance of being useful. A team app is only as strong as the teams using it.

I do not want this to feel like a hard sell. If Flyball Hub is helping your team, share it with a team that might genuinely benefit. If it is not a fit for them, no harm done. If it is, they get a free month and your team gets rewarded.

That feels like the right kind of loop.

start with one team

If you are on an eligible Premium team, open Settings > Referrals and copy your link. Send it to one team you know, ideally a captain or admin who already deals with training plans, dogs, events or team messages.

A simple message is enough:

"We've been using Flyball Hub for team admin. If you want to try Premium, this code should give your team the first month free. If you stick with it, it also gives our team a referral reward."

That is all it needs to be. One useful recommendation from one team to another.
